At Genki, in addition to Danish National laws, there a several rules that participants must abide by, in order to ensure that everyone has a good time at the convention.

Breaking any of these rules will, depending on severity, result in a warning or a ban from the rest of the convention. Several warnings can also trigger a ban. Breaking a law will result in a ban and being reported to the police.

We have great respect for cosplayers and the time and effort they put into making their cosplays, and expect out guest to do the same. We understand that cosplay is a way to express yourself, your passion, and your abilities, and Genki wants to give cosplayers a platform from which to express these things among likeminded peers, with as much freedom as possible.

We are, however, necessitated to put up some boundaries for what we can and cannot permit:

• If your costume or clothes are considered to display your body in a too revealing or indecent way, you will be ask to change clothes or cover up..
• Private parts must be covered by a non-transparent material.
• If the top part of a costume covers more than a bikini top, it needs to be secured by a material such as e.g. fashion tape. You have to bring this yourself.
• Your clothes may not display obscene or offensive motifs.
• Roller skates, skateboards, and scooters are not permitted indoors.
• It is not permitted to dye your hair at Genki – please do it at home in your own sink or at a hair dresser.
• Your cosplay does not deserve its own seat at panels or show. Either keep it in you lap or deposit it in the wardrobe beforehand.
• If an official flag is used as part of your cosplay or prop, then show it the respect it deserves – it is, after all, a national symbol.
