Design Ping's school uniform!

Do you love to draw and do you want to attend Genki 2017?
Then read on!

Ping wants a sailor fuku, but how should it look? That's up to you and your imagination's the limit! Draw, paint, or do something third entirely, and send us your design suggestion by December 31, 2016; then YOU will have the opportunity of winning a weekend ticket for Genki 2017 (estimated value 370 DKK) OG see your creation come to be, as the hosts of Genki 2017 will be wearing your design!

Rules

  1. The uniform must be in two parts, i.e. consist of a skirt and a blouse with a sailor's collar.
  2. The design must not be offensive in nature.
  3. Your contribution must be received on contests@genki.dk by 23:59 on December 31, 2016

The winner will be selected by Genki's two hosts, and picked based on how well the design reflects Genki!
The winner will be notified directly no later that Janaury 10, 2017.

The prize cannot be exchanged to cash, but can be gifted to someone else.
By participating in the contest, you give Genki - and in extension, The Reactor ApS - permission to use your design.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We're launching another art contest, this time with two categories: "Merry Christmas!" and "Happy New Year!"

It is permitted to take part in both categories, but if doing so, two separate drawings must be submitted; one for each category! The prize for both categories is a weekend ticket Genki 2017 (value ~370 DKK), which cannot be traded in for cash, but can be passed on to someone else.

Merry Christmas!

  • Draw or paint Ping & Pong and/or Leonidas with the theme of "Merry Christmas!"
  • Your submission must be received by us by 23:59 on December 22.
  • The submission is to be sent to contests@genki.dk with the subject Merry Christmas!
  • Please also write your full name in the email, as well as potentially a link to you deviantART page or similar.

The winder of the Merry Christmas! category is selected by a panel consisting of Genki's Reactor group and will be announced on our website and Facebook page on the evening of December 24 in connection with wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!

Happy New Year!

Hello Kitty selfie contest

Hello Kitty contestTake a selfie in your best NEKO-POSE for the chance to win a Hello Kitty‬ Instax with 20 polaroids (combined value: approx. 969 DKK), sponsored by Fujifilm!

Use ‪#‎GenkiNekos‬ to qualify; you can participate as many times as you'd like during Genki 2016, as long as you don't use the same photo.

The contest begins at the same time as Genki 2016 (Friday the 22nd at 12:00 PM) and ends when the maid café closes on Sunday the 24th at 15:00.

J-Popcon Art Contest

To celebrate J-Popcon 2016, Genki is hosting an art contest that is open for everyone in the duration that J-Popcon takes place!

Draw Genki's mascots, Ping & Pong, or Genki's spokesperson/penguin, General Leonidas, in this year's Genki theme (Horror/Youkai) and you'll have the chance to win one of our 2 prizes!

You can freely pick between:

  1. Having you J-Popcon ticket paid by Genki by sending us the receipt.
  2. Receive a free weekend ticket for Genki 2016 (value: 350 DKK).

As an added bonus, you have the option to get a free Artist Alley table (value: 100 DKK), if you choose the Genki ticket!

Genki receives submission from Friday, March 18, at noon until Sunday, March 20, Friday, March 25, at 18:00, at out booth at J-Popcon 2016 OR on our mail, contests@genki.dk.

The fine print

This contest is organized by Genki alone, and not in cooperation with J-Popcon!
Rules: Every participant can submit one drawing, which is to be submitted with full name and email. The drawing must stay within the limits of what is considered PG-13.
A panel of judges will select one winner, who will be announced on Genki's homepage(s) and Facebook on March 27. The winner cannot exchange the prize for money, but may pass it on to another person. The Artist Alley table, however, cannot be passed on.
By participating, you give Genki rights to use your submission for commercial and non-commercial purposes, herein using it for advertisement and promotional purposes, without limitation or commission. The artist will, however, always be credited by name and website, wherever possible.
Genki will not use your submission for merchandising, without further agreement with the artist. Similarly, the artist does not lose rights to their drawing by submitting it.
Reservations: Genki reserves the right to disqualify a participant, if it is assessed that they do not adhere to the spirit or rules of the competition.
